Derby County hopeful of signing Baggies striker

Derby County Football Club are hopeful of signing Chris Wood.

The 18-year-old West Bromwich Albion striker impressed for New Zealand in the World Cup Finals, but he is usually down the pecking order in Roberto Di Matteo’s side.

A number of injury meant Wood was on the bench at Liverpool on Sunday, but Nigel Clough is still hopeful of taking the player to Pride Park on loan.

"We got quite a way down the road with West Brom and with Chris - and we hope that as soon as West Brom's injuries clear up, we will be able to get him in,” he told The Telegraph.

i do agree with sighning chris wood but i do also think that we could also go and snap up luke moore from west brom on loan as he is not even in west broms 25 man squad, and michael kightly from wolves as he is not in wolves 25 man squad and we could sighn him on loan until january just to help him pick up his fitness levels as he hasn't played for a while.
