Fabien Robert has joined Doncaster Rovers Football Club until the end of the season.

The France Under-20 international, the younger brother of former Newcastle United ace Laurent, has joined the Championship club from Lorient on loan after impressing during a trial.

"I want to help the club stay in the Championship and this is an exciting challenge for me," Robert told the club's official website. "I'm a technical player and like to score and make goals for my team-mates.

"When I came to train for a few days I was surprised that the club was in the bottom three because there are a lot of good players here. I'm fit and ready as soon as the manager wants me to play."
