Tim Cahill insists Liverpool Football Club still have great players.
Everton head to Anfield on Saturday lunchtime knowing a win over their neighbours would put them just six points behind with a game in hand.
It has been a difficult season for both clubs this term, but more of a focus has been on the Reds who were expected to challenge for the title after coming second last year.
Cahill is relishing the prospect of heaping more misery on Rafael Benitez’s side this weekend, but he insists the Spaniard still has plenty of talent available in his squad.
“They are still a very good team with great players,” said the Australian. “They haven’t become bad overnight. Sometimes things just don’t work out for you.”
