David Moyes is eager to lure Clint Dempsey to Everton Football Club.

The Toffees manager is a long-term admirer of the US international midfielder, having initially tried to sign him from New England Revolution back in January 2007.

At the time Moyes was unable to meet the £2million asking price, and Dempsey went to Fulham where he has been a huge success at the club.

The 29-year-old, though, is down to the final year of his contract in the capital, and the Goodison Park boss will plead with his board to find £5million to land him.
