Leighton Baines has been urged to remain at Everton.
The England international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, who want him to provide competition and eventually replace Patrice Evra.
It has been suggested that Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to pay as much as £12million for Baines, but Steven Pienaar has urged the fullback to stay at Goodison Park.
"If Leighton stays here it will make everyone at the club happy because he is an important player for the team," said Pienaar. "He is a vital player for the club.”
