Bobby Zamora believes Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney can fire England to glory this summer.

Rooney has been in sensational form for the Reds this season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions, and Zamora believes he can help Fabio Capello’s men lift the World Cup in South Africa.

“He’s been brilliant,” he said in The Telegraph. “I just hope he can continue that into the World Cup because when he’s on fire England have every chance of winning it.”

Zamora, though, will be hoping the Old Trafford ace has a quiet game on Sunday afternoon, when his Fulham side make the trip to the home of the champions.
