Hodgson eyes Manchester United striker
Daniel Welbeck has emerged as a target for Fulham Football Club.
The England Under-21 international is rated highly by Manchester United, but the quality of Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad is making it difficult for him to make a mark.
Welbeck was sent on loan to Preston North End recently, but he has suffered a knee injury and is now back with the Old Trafford club for treatment.
Reports suggest Craven Cottage boss Roy Hodgson is keen to take the 19-year-old striker on loan next season, something which may appeal to Ferguson and the player.
