Danny Murphy has been linked with a shock move to Sunderland Football Club.
The former Liverpool midfielder has been a key member of the Fulham side following his arrival in 2007, and he has captained the Londoners since 2008.
Murphy, though, is out of contract at the end of the season, and Eye Football claim he could be part of Martin Jol’s clearout as the Dutch coach looks to rebuild the Craven Cottage squad.
Martin O’Neill could offer the 34-year-old one last payday at the Stadium of Light and the chance to prolong his Premier League career, with a two-year contract being lined up.
