Gills eye play-off success
04:00 PM 07 May, 2009
Gillingham are in determined mood ahead of tonight's first round, first-leg play-off away clash with Rochdale.

Gills Player of the Year, 26-year old centre-half Simon King lost out with Barnet in the 2004 play-off semi-final and is desperate not to repeat the experience.

"It was a terrible experience," said King. "I was absolutely gutted and don't want to have that feeling again.

"Getting to Wembley with Gillingham would hopefully make up for it, especially if we could then win the Final, but there's no way I'm looking that far ahead because we've got two tough games coming up against Rochdale."

"The momentum is with us, but I don't think Rochdale will be badly affected. They're a good footballing side who deserve every respect, and we'll certainly give them that."
