Mike Newell knows he has achieved League Two survival despite the weekend defeat by Bournemouth.

"It will be impossible for Chester to turn it around now, bearing in mind the massive goal difference," he said.

"The lads have given everything for the past five or six weeks.

"Chester are not going to turn it around and we will beat Macclesfield (next week) anyway."
