Hartlepool United have completed the signing of 27-year-old Norwegian midfielder Jon-Andre Fredriksen.

Fredriksen arrives from Norwegian side Sarpsborg after catching the eye of Chris Turner on one of his trips to Norway. He becomes 'Pools sixth signing of the summer.

Turner told the club's official website, "Jon-Andre is a very adaptable player who can operate in several positions."

"He can play in the centre of midfield or on the left, or even up front where he has played for his Norwegian club in the past.

"I'm bringing him to the Club predominantly as competition for the wide left area and I think he can offer us a good option."
