Burnley Football Club remain confident of winning the race for Andy Driver.

The talented Hearts midfield player has been on the wanted list at Turf Moor for some time, but they have failed to land him in each of the last two windows.

Despite their relegation from the Premier League last season, the Clarets are confident of finally landing their man this time round, in a deal which would equal their £3million transfer record.

It is believed that the two clubs are in advanced talks over Driver, and despite reported interest from Chelsea, the Lancastrians are confident they win the race for the 22-year-old.

Burnley paid £3million for Steven Fletcher last summer, and the former Hibernian man was such a success he has this summer moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers for more than twice this amount.
