Hibernian confirm McPake intent
07:30 PM 20 June, 2012
Hibernian Football Club have confirmed their desire to sign James McPake.

The 27-year-old impressed whilst on loan at Easter Road last season, and now manager Pat Fenlon has confirmed he wants to take the defender from Coventry City permanently.

"He was fantastic for me and for the club in the short time he was here," he told Hibernian TV. "I would love to have him back - what he brought to the place is what we're looking for.

"While he was here, he was fabulous for us - both on and off the pitch. I think that's important as well. That's the type of player we're looking for.”

McPake remains under contract at the Ricoh Arena for just another 12 months, and Hibs hope to take him in a deal worth around £300,000.
