Danny Drinkwater has no regrets about agreeing to temporarily leave Manchester United.

The young midfielder will spend the season on loan at Huddersfield Town in League One, and he is already pleased with the way the move is panning out.

“Mr Ferguson told me I might have played in the Carling Cup, he also said I would benefit from the experience of going out on loan," Drinkwater told the Huddersfield Examiner.

"When Huddersfield came in he said it was up to me, but that they were a good club and I would learn a lot under Lee Clark. I'm really enjoying myself here.

“There are some very good players and the management team is top class. I feel I've already developed and hopefully that will continue."
