Wigan Athletic Football Club have made a move for Conor Sammon.
Earlier on deadline day it was revealed that Derby County had made an offer in the region of £425,000 for the striker, which was rejected by Kilmarnock.
It is not difficult to see why the Scottish side are so keen to keep the 24-year-old, who has scored fifteen goals in the SPL already this season.
However, it is believed Wigan have now made an offer to take Sammon to the DW Stadium, and they are optimistic of beating the 11pm deadline to confirm the deal.
