Beckford fits the bill for Bolton Wanderers
Jermaine Beckford has emerged a top target for Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
A 2-0 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Sunday keeps the Whites in the bottom three of the Premier League, and fans fear another relegation scrap after Christmas.
Gary Megson has reportedly targeted Beckford for a January transfer, but although the striker is out of contract in the summer, Leeds United insist they will not sell their star player.
"I'll be bracing myself for calls in January, but he won't be going anywhere," said manager Simon Grayson. "The chairman has promised me that he won't be going anywhere”
This is unlikely to stop Bolton making an offer for the 25-year-old, with reports suggesting the Reebok Stadium club would tempt the League One leaders with an offer of £3million.
