Wigan Athletic plot £5million Fryatt bid
03:30 PM 11 January, 2010
Wigan Athletic Football Club have made Matty Fryatt a top target.

Roberto Martinez is eager to bolster his leaky defence at the DW Stadium, but he is also keen to find another striker as he looks to avoid a fight against relegation.

Fryatt has been a prolific goalscorer for Leicester City in the Championship, and the Mail on Sunday claim the Latics are set to make an offer for him this month.

It remains to be seen how much Martinez has to spend on his squad, but a fee of around £5million is believed to be making its way to the Walkers Stadium for their 23-year-old hitman.
