Oldham boss fumes at officials
06:39 PM 30 March, 2009
Joe Royle felt two penalty decisions, one given and one not, turned Saturday's game at Orient on its head.

"I don't know what the referee was thinking," he blasted, after the home side levelled with a spot-kick.

"Their player just ran into Reuben Hazell. There was nothing he could do. He couldn't make himself invisible. It was never a penalty and even their manager was laughing. I feel cheated."

Royle felt the Latics should then have been given a penalty of their own, adding: "I hate criticising referees, but his performance has influenced the game with two poor decisions.

"When Taylor was clipped from behind did anyone think it wasn't a penalty?"
