Richard Butcher, who was released by Notts County earlier this month, has re-joined League Two rivals Lincoln City.

The 28-year-old has spent two previous spells with the Imps and will join the club for a third time on a two-year deal on July 1.

Imps boss Peter Jackson told the club's official website, "I am delighted to announce my first signing as Richard Butcher. I know he will score goals from midfield and scored 10 goals and 12 goals in the last two seasons which is not a bad return for the amount of games he played."

"There was a number of other clubs interested in him so I am delighted to have agreed terms with the player."
