Lincoln boss Peter Jackson has made his second signing of the summer with a move for former Blackburn Rovers youngster Jamie Clarke on a one-year deal.

Clarke, 20, came through the youth ranks at Blackburn before moving on loan to Accrington Stanley, then Rotherham on a free transfer where he made 11 appearances before his release at the end of the season.

Jackson told the club's official website, "Jamie played wide left for Accrington and down the middle for Rotherham against us last year so he will certainly give me options."

"He's got an electric turn of pace and I'm delighted to have snapped him up. He's keen, enthusiastic and looking forward to his time here at Lincoln City.

"Having been released twice over the last year or so he's coming here with a point to prove. Hopefully I can bring the best out of him and he'll develop into a key player over the course of next season."
