Liverpool Football Club are confident of signing Milan Jovanovic.

The Standard Liege striker is out of contract at the end of the season, and he is one of the most attractive Bosman free transfer signings around.

AC Milan and Valencia are keen on the Serbian international, but reports recently stated the Reds are closing in on capturing the 28-year-old hitman.

And when asked about signing Jovanovic, Anfield coach Rafael Benitez is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: “Nothing is sorted yet, but I’m confident it will be."

It has been suggested that the player had been stalling on penning a deal with the Premier League side, as he wanted assurances that Benitez would still be there next season.
