Liverpool boss insists more to come from Lucas
Liverpool Football Club coach Rafael Benitez is convinced there is more to come from Lucas Leiva.
The 23-year-old midfielder has had many critics since his move from Gremio in the summer of 2007, yet he has appeared in all the Reds Premier League matches this season.
Lucas has revealed how he feels he is finally winning over the Anfield crowd, and this has been backed by Benitez who believes the player will continue to improve.
"I know he can improve so much more," he told LFC Weekly. "When I was talking about him before he signed, I was telling people we were signing the captain of Gremio - and he was only 19.
"That means something. You do not captain teams in Brazil at such a level at that age if you are not a strong character with a good mentality. Hopefully he will continue to grow with us."
