Benitez insists he feels no pressure at Liverpool
Rafael Benitez admits Liverpool Football Club have endured a disappointing season, but he insists he is not feeling the pressure of the job.
The Reds were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season after running Manchester United close last term, but they have never been in contention.
They welcome Portsmouth to Anfield on Monday night hoping to pick up three points in their battle to finish in the top-four, something which is essential for the club.
"I don't feel under pressure. I am disappointed for the season but we can still fight and still improve," said Benitez. "Against Portsmouth we have to prove this determination.
"We know the season is not good enough. Every game will be important and the next one against Portsmouth is the most important as we try to get close to the top four.
"It is clear we cannot lose too many points so we have to start winning, beginning with this game. We know every game has to be like this but we have to have a good mentality to approach games.”
