Would O’Neill be ready to take Liverpool job?
05:00 PM 16 March, 2010
Martin O’Neill has been linked with the Liverpool Football Club manager’s job.

Last season the Reds ran Manchester United close in the race for the Premier League title, but this term they are struggling to even keep pace with the top four.

A group stage elimination in the UEFA Champions League has also placed pressure on Rafael Benitez, who has been linked with an Anfield exit during the summer.

According to the Sunday Express, the top choice replacement for the Spaniard would be O’Neill, who is currently under contract at Aston Villa.

The former Celtic coach is working wonders in the Midlands and has assembled a fine squad, but would he be tempted to trade all this for a crack at the Liverpool job?
