Ryan Babel is beginning to show his quality for Liverpool Football Club.

The Dutch international has often failed to deliver at Anfield since his big-money from move Ajax in the summer of 2007, and he was heavily linked with a transfer in the winter.

However, Rafael Benitez decided to keep faith with Babel, and the forward has responded with a change of attitude in training and an impressive show in the 4-1 win over Portsmouth.

“Ryan was doing very well last week in every training session,” said the Spaniard. “We gave him an opportunity and he did well, so I am really pleased for him.”
