Albert Riera looks set to be on his way out of Liverpool Football Club in the summer.

Rafael Benitez made a big deal of signing the Spanish winger during the summer of 2008, and eventually landed the Espanyol man for £8million.

However, the former Manchester City loanee has struggled in the Premier League, having made just 33 starts in the competition in almost two years.

It is being reported that Villarreal are set to offer Riera a route back to La Liga, and an offer of £6million is likely to see the Reds accept a £2million loss on the player.
