Liverpool Football Club outcast Albert Riera could be on his way to Russia.

The Spanish winger joined the Reds in the summer of 2008, when Rafael Benitez went to great lengths to take him from Espanyol for £8million.

However, Riera has failed to impress during a second stint in England, his previous spell being with Manchester City, and he launched an extraordinary attack on the club and coach in midweek.

The 27-year-old has been banished from the club until Monday, but he is expected to be sold in the summer, with The Sun claiming Spartak Moscow and CSKA Moscow could be offered his signature.
