Brendan Rodgers insists no approach has been made for Martin Skrtel.

Manchester City have been heavily linked with the Slovakian international, as Roberto Mancini looks to add even more quality to his back four options.

However, Skrtel remains a key man for Liverpool’s plans, and Reds manager Rodgers insists there have been no approaches for the 27-year-old ace.

"I've heard nothing from any other club," he said. "Martin has been fantastic. He seems happy and contented. He has fit into my plans and ideas.”
