Mahamadou Diarra is wanted back by Lyon.

The Mali international left the French club for Real Madrid in the summer of 2006, in a deal which cost the Spanish giants a fee of €26million.

Diarra has lost his place in an increasingly competitive Los Blancos side, and has started just four La Liga games for the Bernabeu team this season.

Reports in Cadena SER claim Lyon are keen to take the 28-year-old back to Stade Gerland at the end of the season, and Real are unlikely to stand in his way should a suitable offer be made.
