McDonald Mariga’s proposed move to Manchester City Football Club is nothing but an afterthought for the Internazionale midfield player.

The 22-year-old was on the verge of a winter move to Eastlands in January, but the transfer was blocked when he was refused a work permit to head to England.

Mariga instead left Palermo for Jose Mourinho’s Inter, and after becoming the first even Kenyan to play in the UEFA Champions League, he clearly has no regrets.

“Manchester City? Yes I almost join them, but it did not happen because of my work permit. But now I am at Inter with the best manager in the world,” he told Sky Sports.
