Wesley Sneijder has urged Internazionale to sign Nigel de Jong.

The Holland international has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City, who he has helped win the Premier League and FA Cup over the past two years.

De Jong is in the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, and his compatriot has urged Inter to make a move for his signature.

Sneijder fears the Nerazzurri could fall short in their bid for the title this season, but taking the City midfielder for £10million may help their cause.
