Manchester United Football Club are set to enter the race for Gaston Ramirez.

The Uruguayan forward is making a name for himself in Italy with Bologna, where he has been plying his trade since a transfer from Penarol in 2010.

Ramirez has been heavily linked with Liverpool in recent months, with reports ahead of the current season claiming a £10million offer was being lined up.

Whilst nothing materialised from that link, Kenny Dalglish is expected to bid for the 21-year-old in the summer, but he is set to face competition from United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
