Younes Belhanda wants to stay at Montpellier next season.
If Sir Alex Ferguson misses out on Lille midfielder Eden Hazard, who looks bound to join neighbours City, it is thought the United boss will turn to Belhanda.
However, the 22-year-old is on the brink of winning the French league title with Montpellier, and he has revealed he intends to stay at the club next term.
“I want to stay,” Belhanda, who has been voted as the Young Player of the Year in France, told L’Equipe. “Playing in the Champions League with my club will be extraordinary.”
