Stoke City Football Club are keen on Gary O’Neil.

The midfielder is currently contracted to Middlesbrough, who are eager to keep him at the Riverside Stadium to help them in their bid for promotion from the Championship.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim Potters manager Tony Pulis has identified the 26-year-old for a move to the Britannia Stadium, as he aims to bolster his midfield.

O’Neil has started 21 of Boro’s 27 league games this season with three goals to his name, and he would be rated in the £5million bracket by the Teesside outfit.
