Middlesbrough not looking to offload O’Neil
Gordon Strachan insists he is not looking to offload Gary O’Neil this summer, despite the player having just twelve months left on his Middlesbrough Football Club contract.
Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City have both been linked with the 27-year-old, who has been at the Riverside Stadium since the summer of 2007.
As O’Neil is in the final twelve months of his contract it has been suggested Boro are open to offers, but their manager insists the midfielder remains in their plans.
“Gary is more than happy here," said Strachan. "He wants to see out his contract. Unless we get a huge offer that we have to look at then Gary will be staying."
