Chelsea’s Hamsik hopes all but over
Chelsea Football Club appear to have no chance of signing Marek Hamsik this summer.
Carlo Ancelotti has made the Slovakian international a top choice for the 2010/11 season, as he looks to inject some youth into his ageing midfield.
However, the 22-year-old has already revealed he intends to stay at Napoli, and now the president of the Serie A club has confirmed a new deal has all but been signed.
“We are proud to have him in our family,” Aurelio De Laurentiis told Radio Morte. “We have already discussed the (contract) extension with his agent and we will define everything in May.”
