Newcastle United Football Club have set their sights on Jamie O’Hara.

The midfielder has impressed during his season-long loan at Portsmouth, despite the South Coast club propping up the rest of the Premier League.

O’Hara is due back at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the 2010/11 season, but he admits he faces an uncertain future at White Hart Lane.

Reports in the Daily Star claim the Magpies, who are well on course for a return to the top-flight, plan to celebrate promotion with an offer for the 23-year-old.
