Roberto Rosales is being tracked by Newcastle United Football Club.

With Danny Simpson stalling over a new contract at St James Park, it could well be that Alan Pardew is in the market for a new right fullback this summer.

And the agent of FC Twente ace Rosales claims the Magpies manager has taken a liking to the 23-year-old, although Porto are also said to be interested in the Venezuelan international.

"Newcastle and FC Porto are two clubs that are closely following Roberto," Claudio Barrios said in the Evening Chronicle. "But the transfer market will be open for a long time.”
