Newcastle United have reportedly made a fresh bid for Mathieu Debuchy.

Alan Pardew is desperate to sign a new right fullback ahead of the new season, with the future of contract rebel Danny Simpson up in the air.

The Magpies boss has been linked with Debuchy for the past couple of months, an interest which intensified after he impressed at Euro 2012.

An offer of £4million has already been rejected by Lille, but with the season drawing closer, Pardew will return with a fresh bid of £6million for the 27-year-old.
