Nottingham Forest Football Club have made Gareth Bale a January target.

The Wales international has struggled for form and fitness since joining Tottenham Hotspur, who would be prepared to listen to offers for him in the winter.

It is believed Championship side Forest are plotting a loan bid to take Bale to the City Ground, with the view to a permanent move if they are promoted this season.

Billy Davies’s side have made solid progress this season, and currently lie in eight place and just two points behind joining the clubs in the play-off positions.
