Bill Davies wants Gareth Bale and Michael Dawson at Nottingham Forest Football Club.

The City Ground manager has funds available to spend in the New Year, as he plots a promotion bid to the Premier League for the two-times European champions.

Despite signing left-back Nicky Shorey from Aston Villa on loan, the Forest boss wants to sign Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in a £3million deal, claims the Sunday Mirror.

And the tabloid also claims Davies wants to sign central defender Dawson from the White Hart Lane club, five years after he left the Championship side for Spurs in a £4million deal.
