Nicky Shorey has extended his loan stay at Nottingham Forest Football Club.

The England international struggled to force his way into Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa side, once Stephen Warnock was bought from Blackburn Rovers at the end of August.

Shorey has seen been shipped off to Forest on loan, and he has played a role in Billy Davies’s outfit going an impressive sixteen Championship games without defeat.

It has now been confirmed that his loan spell has been extended for another month, sparking fresh speculation Forest are aiming to make the move permanent.
