Sol Campbell will not be getting a shock return to Arsenal Football Club.

The veteran defender is on the lookout for a new club following his decision to quit Notts County, and he has been linked with a number of sides in the past month.

Campbell has been welcomed to train with former club Arsenal, but when asked if there was a possibility he could be handed a contract, Arsene Wenger ruled out such a move.

"With us? No,” said the French coach. “We'll help him out to get fit. Sol asked me if he could come back here and have some fitness sessions. We'll help him out."
