Newcastle United admit Campbell option
Chris Hughton admits Newcastle United Football Club could move for Sol Campbell in January.
The 35-year-old defender is without a club following his decision to leave Notts County after just one game, and he is believed to be keen on a move to St James Park.
Campbell is said to fancy the idea of leading the Magpies back into the Premier League, and Hughton is refusing to rule out a move for the former England international.
"It's one that I wouldn't rule out. He's a player who will go somewhere at some stage, and he will get a lot of offers. But we won't rule him out of coming here,” he said.
"He has still got a lot to offer the game. He hasn't played a lot of football, but he has stated a desire to carry on playing, so it is one that possibly might happen."
