Burnley Football Club have taken an interest in Paul Coutts.

The 21-year-old has been with Peterborough United since joining them from Cove Rangers in 2008, and he helped them clinch promotion to the Championship last season.

Coutts has previously been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United, but the Daily Mail now claim the Clarets are set to make an offer.

The Scotland Under-21 international midfield player has featured fifteen times for Posh this season, but has been unable to prevent them from falling to the foot of the division.
