Darren Ferguson insists he is happy at Peterborough United.

The 40-year-old has been linked with a move to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest, who are on the brink of being taken over by the Al-Hasawi family.

Ferguson, the son of Manchester United legend Sir Alex, is forging a reputation as a fine young coach, so Posh fans will be pleased to hear he is happy at London Road.

"We are back for pre-season training on Monday and I and the rest of my staff are looking forward to the new season," Ferguson told his club's official website.

"Myself and the chairman have an excellent relationship and we are working hard together to bring in the players we have identified to strengthen our squad.

"I am very happy at the football club.”
