James not interested in Portsmouth sales
David James insists he wants to see the season out at Portsmouth Football Club.
Although the transfer window is now closed, Pompey hope to be given special dispensation to sell players now due to their perilous financial situation.
Although any players moving clubs outside of the window are unlikely to be able to play until next season, the 39-year-old England goalkeeper would still be an attractive proposition.
However, James has ruled out leaving Fratton Park, and he aims to play his part in keeping the club in the Premier League and ending the season at Wembley in the FA Cup final.
“I want to stay at Portsmouth and be part of the most remarkable recovery ever,” he said. “I’d like a decent FA Cup [run] and to get myself right for the World Cup Finals.”
