Hermann Hreidarsson believes Portsmouth Football Club reaching the FA Cup semi-final this season is a bigger achievement than when they won the competition in 2008.

Considering the financial plight the club are in this season, as they went into administration recently, the fact they are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup is some achievement.

Indeed, Hreidarsson believes this is a great feat than two years ago, when they beat the likes of Manchester United before lifting the trophy against Cardiff City.

“Going back to Wembley after all our problems is definitely a greater achievement than winning the FA Cup two years ago," said the defender.

"The win at Southampton in the last round was for the fans and this one is, too. Our supporters have been unbelievable and they deserve their day out at Wembley.

"The last time we were in the FA Cup semi-finals it was ours to lose because we were the only remaining Premier League team in the competition. Now it's ours to win."
