Portsmouth striker wants England stay
Frederic Piquionne hopes to stay in England when his Portsmouth stint comes to an end.
The 31-year-old is on a season-long loan deal at Pompey from Lyon, and whilst the cash-strapped club won’t be able to keep him, the striker hopes to clinch another move within the Premier League.
"Whatever happens, I want to stay in England and I am doing all I can to find a club here,” said Piquionne, who has scored ten goals in all competitions this season.
His last two goals came in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday, when his brace was enough to knock Birmingham City out and send the South Coast club to Wembley.
Ironically, a move to the Blues could be a possible option, after Alex McLeish reportedly showed an interested in signing him during the winter window.
