Preston chairman Derek Shaw expects new signings at Deepdale.

The chairman told the Evening Post, "We had hoped Lee (Williamson) would be joining us, but he has made another choice and while it is a disappointment it is also the reality of the economics of football.

"We will continue to try to strengthen the squad from the resources we have available - but we have to be sensible."
